Amidst both sorrow and celebration, Ukrainians proudly sing their national anthem. “Soul and body we’ll lay down for our freedom,” which appeared as the first English translation of the anthem in The New York Times in 1918, is meticulously embroidered on this shirt.

The anthem’s creation spans years that underscore Ukraine’s enduring statehood: In 1862, P. Chubynskyi wrote the lyrics, and in 1863, M. Verbytskyi contributed the music.

“Not yet, fucking bastards” carries three meanings:

“Not yet” alludes to the opening line of the Ukrainian national anthem.
“Fucking” embodies our rage.
“Bastards” serves as a reminder that Russians have wrongly appropriated Ukrainian heritage and history
